Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - ETL Data Tester!

In this role, you would be responsible for providing Enhancement & testing services in a ETL Talend environment. Candidate will be working with SMEs, Scrum Master, Product Owner & Users to complete end-to-end SDLC for a fintech client.

Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities shall include contributing to designing and documenting of the software architecture based on existing architecture and inputs received from client from time to time.

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive ETL testing strategies and test plans specific to Snowflake data pipelines.

Create and maintain test cases to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes within Snowflake.

Conduct end-to-end testing of ETL workflows to ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the entire pipeline.

Collaborate closely with data engineers, developers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and business logic.

Identify, document, and report defects or discrepancies in data transformations or loading processes.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for ETL testing in Snowflake.

Perform performance testing to evaluate the efficiency and scalability of Snowflake data pipelines.

Troubleshoot issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related problems.

Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards during testing processes.

Document test results, findings, and recommendations for improvements in testing procedures.

Good to have testing experience ETL build using DBT, Pyspark , Glue, Lambda.

Perform unit testing, integration testing and UAT as and when required.

Also, engage with Client in requirement gathering, Status update on work, UAT and be the key partner in the overall engagement.

Writing complex SQL queries, ability to determine the type of Data & Regression.

Responsible to track defects using i.e., Jira

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications

BE / B Tech / MCA with relevant work experience

Relevant work experience as ETL Testing along with Snowflake pipeline building

Preferred qualifications / skills

It is essential that you have experience in creation of necessary infrastructure for ETL jobs using MSBI (SSIS, SSRS, SQL server (SQL and stored procedures, functions, triggers mandatory skills) and Talend from a wide range of data sources.

Relevant years of Software Quality Assurance experience on enterprise level applications which includes Data Warehouse Testing.

Experience in writing complex SQL queries, ability to determine the types of testing that must be conducted (i.e., data validation, regression, etc.), including evaluating the testability of requirements and create a comprehensive test plan that supports the business and technological solutions being delivered.

Should have experience testing multiple test phases in medium to large projects.

Should have adequate experience and clear understanding of data warehouse and data mart testing.

Identification and Test Data Preparation Techniques. Thorough knowledge of Software Test Life Cycle, Test Case Life Cycle, Defect Life Cycle etc. Proficiency with Test Case Preparation and Execution.

QA Automation Test tools expertise in Selenium, Test Ng, Cucumber, Appium, etc. Extensive exposure to Back-end / ETL Testing with high- level of SQL skills is required.

Possess experience in using Informatica suite of tools. Must have Talend Open Studio Experience

Should have exposure to large data sets and understand Data Quality Framework.

Experience in data analysis, including profiling, auditing, balancing, and reconciliation, in an information technology operating environment.

Knowledge of data models and entity relationship diagrams

Knowledge and experience in data masking methodologies - Familiar with Meta Data Management tools

Must have the ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changes while maintaining urgency in completing assigned tasks.

Should be detail oriented with analytical mind set. Good understanding of Agile Delivery Methodology & experience in working with Scrum teams

Good in problem solving, could adapt new skills and is keen on sharing expertise and knowledge.

Excellent client facing skills that include conducting compelling technical briefing & demonstrations. The person should have a technical curiosity to implement new technologies and articulate the solutions to the client!
