Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated professional to assume the role of Marine Safety Officer . This individual will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our vessels and crew.
- The selected candidate will comply with International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations and other relevant guidelines;
- Maintain high standards of quality, health, safety, environmental, and ethics policies;
- Develop and implement continuous performance improvement strategies;
- Assist in quality, health, safety, security, and environment (QHSSE) responsibilities for assigned vessels;
- Perform on-duty tasks as assigned;
- Implement the Integrated Management System and Ship Security Plan;
- Ensure effective communication between shore-based departments and vessels;
- Maintain vessels in seaworthy condition;
- Manage and follow-up on ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO, and flag audits;
- Conduct QSSE audits onboard assigned vessels;
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions;
- Investigate accidents;
- Train shore department and ship staff;
- Participate in regulations monitoring;
- Act as a point of contact for flag administrations and support Fleet department with classification societies;
- Participate in Emergency Response Team;
- Available to travel worldwide;
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess :
Officer licenses preferred;Training in ISM and ISO Internal auditor, CSO, and accident investigation;Fluent English language skills;Knowledge of QHSSE management principles;Benefits
