The role involves resolving incidents, monitoring applications, and collaborating with the senior team to ensure smooth operations.
The ideal candidate will have good technical grounding in Java, Unix / Linux, and Oracle, with a willingness to learn and grow in a structured support environment.
Responsibilities :
- Provide L2 application support for Java-based applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Java, Servlets, JDBC, PL / SQL, and Unix environments.
- Perform log analysis, basic debugging, and issue triaging.
- Support deployment activities under senior team guidance.
- Monitor applications and batch processes, escalating issues as required.
- Collaborate with the onsite / offshore teams to ensure timely issue resolution within SLAs.
- Maintain and update documentation, issue logs, and runbooks.
- Participate in shift-based and on-call support rotations [ 24 / 7]
Requirements :
Proficiency in Java, Maven, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Microservices and Monitoring.Good knowledge of Java and ability to debug application issues.Understanding of Servlets, JSP, and JDBC for issue resolution.Experience with Oracle 19c SQL / PL-SQL scripting and query tuning basics.Familiarity with IBM Liberty and Tomcat for app deployment and monitoring.Proficiency in Unix / Linux (RHEL) log analysis, cron jobs, shell commands.Exposure to Shell Scripting (C-shell / Bash) for automation and troubleshooting.Working knowledge of C / C++ executables and their role in batch processingAwareness of frontend debugging concepts (HTML, JavaScript).Skills Required
