Raksha Animal Welfare Center, part of the Raksha Foundation, is a dedicated facility in the heart of Mumbai committed to the rescue, treatment, sterilization, and vaccination of stray dogs and cats. Since our inception, we've provided essential care to thousands of injured and distressed community animals, focusing on urgent medical interventions, population control through sterilization programs, and promoting animal welfare in urban environments.

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Veterinarian to lead our clinical operations and make a lasting impact on animal lives.

Responsibilities :

Lead Sterilization Programs
Manage OPD & IPD Cases
Comprehensive Veterinary Care for Dogs and Cats
Team Leadership and Training
Documentation and Reporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent from a recognized institution; advanced certifications in small animal surgery or welfare are a plus.

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a veterinarian, with proven expertise in treating dogs and cats, particularly strays in high-volume settings.

Strong surgical skills, especially in spay / neuter procedures, and familiarity with anesthesia protocols for small animals.

Experience in managing OPD / IPD operations in an animal shelter or welfare center.

Excellent diagnostic abilities, with knowledge of common canine and feline diseases, nutrition, and behavior.

Compassionate, resilient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with emotional demands.
