Assistant Vice President Enterprise Security (Security Operations Tooling)

Overall Job Purpose :
The purpose of this role is to monitor and maintain operational security controls and governance measures in relation to the security toolsets utilised by the Security Operations function in accordance with M&G Plc Security Policy.
Primary Key Responsibilities (Top 3-5 KRA)
- Oversee daily and scheduled reports of log source health.
- Document security deliverables / components according to standards as required, including the update of processes and procedures as necessary.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives including improving service and cost effectiveness.
- Achieve best practice for Infrastructure Services to ensure Infrastructure and support deliverables / components are secured in a manner consistent with PGDS UK Security Policy and PGDS UK strategy.
- Creation and production of MI to clearly and effectively demonstrate the adherence to key controls under your responsibility, the security risk / stability profile of the portfolio of Security toolsets under SecOps management
Additional Responsibilities :
Provide security advice and guidance to peers, other PGDS UK domains, and customers as required, including training where necessary.Ensure Security Operations portfolio of products it leverages to run the function are operational and health checked on an on-going basis in line with agreed KPI’s.Act as the focal point of contact for Toolset Support to investigate and remediate activities where required, and communicate findings to the wider business and stakeholdersBe a subject matter expert and maintain and adhere SOC controls in line with industry good practice and M&G Plc risk appetiteEnsure Security Operations controls are operated effectively in line with control landscapeSupport the creation of, and production of MI to provide management with an understanding of how effective the health and resilience of the Security Toolset Ecosystem.Working collaboratively with SOC Leadership to support Technology Group Risk and Control in responding to and engaging with internal and external auditorsBuild strong relationships with the rest of the cyber security team and the wider business to collaborate on initiativesEngage with key business stakeholders internally and with outsourcers, to ensure consistent delivery of services as well as adoption of Security Operations services into their systems.Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification :
Minimum of 3+ years working within IT Security supporting Security Toolsets. Ideally focussing on Security Operations and in a mid to large scale enterprise.Minimum 5+ years of Infrastructure Support with expert knowledge in at least one of the following disciplines; Networks, Wintel, CloudExperience in supporting monitoring technologies in the CloudExperience of operating in agile working practicesExposure to continuous integration / continuous development related systems and techniques (e.g. Azure DevOps (VSTS) / Jenkins)Good verbal and written communication skills.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to interact with customer and technical team membersProven skills in problem diagnosis and resolution within the technical / operational environment.Experience in Service management tools and the end to end ITIL modelRelevant Qualifications
A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are preferred.Contact : krishna.alagarasan@mandg.com
