Location : Mumbai

Employment Type : Full-time

Shift : Rotational

Weekly Off : Depending on workload

Job Description

We are seeking a Security Engineer (L2) with 5+ years of experience in enterprise security operations. The candidate will provide L2-level support for Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls, assist in policy implementation, perform basic troubleshooting, and ensure stable security operations across enterprise or data center environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2 support for Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, and other security devices.
  • Assist in firewall rule configuration, NAT, security zones, and access control policies.
  • Monitor security alerts and incidents, escalating critical issues to L3 / L4 teams.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis under guidance of senior engineers.
  • Maintain security documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and application teams for secure operations.
  • Support firewall upgrades, patching, and change management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and operational standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise security or firewall management.
  • Hands-on experience with Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Understanding of VPNs, NAT, firewall policies, and security zones.
  • Familiarity with IPS / IDS and threat prevention is a plus.
  • Basic troubleshooting and incident handling skills.
  • Good communication, documentation, and analytical skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • CCSE / CCSE NGX (Checkpoint) or PCNSE (Palo Alto) certifications.
  • Exposure to data center or multi-site enterprise networks.
  • Basic knowledge of automation or scripting for firewall operations is a plus.
