We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air / ground launched stand-off autonomous system.
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development & Sales professional to drive revenue growth, build strong client relationships, and support strategic partnerships in the defence and aerospace ecosystem. The role involves identifying business opportunities, engaging with government / defence stakeholders, preparing proposals, and managing the end-to-end sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Sales
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities with defence, aerospace, and government stakeholders.
- Drive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
Develop trusted relationships with key decision-makers in defence PSUs, armed forces, and relevant ministries.Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their requirements are understood and addressed.Proposals & Bidding
Lead preparation of technical and commercial proposals, RFPs, and tender submissions.Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure client requirements are effectively translated into solutions.Strategic Growth
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to shape business strategy.Support in forging partnerships, MoUs, and joint ventures with domestic and global defence companies.Represent NewSpace at defence expos, conferences, and industry forums.Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Business / Management; MBA or equivalent preferred.4–8 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management (preferably in Defence, Aerospace, or High-Tech industries).Strong understanding of defence procurement processes, offset policies, and government contracting .Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Proven ability to drive deals from lead to closure.Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in a start-up environment.
