THIS IS A LONG TERM CONTRACT POSITION WITH ONE OF THE LARGEST, GLOBAL, TECHNOLOGY LEADER.

Looking for an experienced Senior Snowflake Engineer to design, build, and optimize modern data solutions on Snowflake supporting portfolio analytics, client reporting, and compliance.

Primary Skills – Snowflake Development, SQL (Advanced Query Optimization), Data Modeling, ELT / ETL Design, DBT, Python / Shell Scripting, Snowflake Architecture (Role-Based Security, Performance Tuning), Finance Domain Data Engineering

Secondary Skills – AWS, CI / CD Tools, Git (Version Control), AI / ML Workflow Exposure, Data Governance & Compliance

Preferred Qualifications

7+ years of overall experience in Data Engineering, with 4+ years in Snowflake development.
Proven experience working with Finance domain data systems.
Strong expertise in SQL optimization for complex pipelines.
Hands-on experience with DBT for scalable data transformations.
Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting for workflow automation.
Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and Git-based version control.
Knowledge of AWS Cloud Services and AI / ML workflows is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize scalable Snowflake data models and pipelines.

Lead ELT / ETL design and implementation using SQL, DBT, and scripting.

Ensure query performance optimization and high data availability.

Implement role-based security and governance within Snowflake.

Integrate Snowflake with financial data systems and analytics platforms.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for reporting, compliance, and analytics requirements.

Maintain high-quality code through code reviews, CI / CD practices, and Git workflows.

Support continuous improvements in data engineering best practices and automation.
