Tcs is having virtual drive for skill MS -SQL Server At TCS Kolkata location on 31st Oct 25

exp req : 9 to 15 yrs

Must-Have

10+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration (SQL Server 2012 through 2022).
Strong proficiency in installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
Expertise in backup and recovery strategies, using native tools and third-party solutions.
Deep understanding of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) techniques (AlwaysOn, Log Shipping, Clustering, Mirroring).
Strong experience in performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, SQL Profiler, and Execution Plans.
Solid T-SQL programming and scripting experience.
Experience in managing large and complex databases (TBs of data, high transaction volume).
Ability to work in team setting as well as independently.
Strong understanding of security and compliance, including encryption, auditing, and role-based access.
Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, T-SQL, or similar tools.
Hands-on experience with SQL Server Agent jobs, SSIS packages, and SQL Maintenance Plans.
Good communication skills with both technical and management teams

Good-to-Have

Exposure to Azure SQL, SQL on IaaS, or other cloud-based DBaaS solutions

Familiarity with DevOps, CI / CD pipelines, and tools like Git, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.

Understanding of NoSQL, data lakes, or hybrid data platforms.

Experience with SSRS, SSAS, or Power BI integration.

Knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL administration for cross-platform exposure.

ITIL or other service management framework familiarity.

Experience working in regulated industries (Retail, finance, healthcare, etc.)

Participation in on-call rotations and incident management.

Any Cloud Database Certification (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google) are a strong plus
