Director of Operations and Risk Management

Job Title : Associate Director, Safety Operations

The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for safety operations processing in alignment with departmental and corporate standards.

Key responsibilities include :

• Collaborating with other operations specialists and managers to address problem areas, staffing needs, equipment needs, and projected peak workloads.
• Ensuring direct reports are cross-trained on safety service offerings.
• Monitoring and developing training plans.
• Identifying training and development needs of staff in collaboration with the Training team and Safety Management.
• Leading and encouraging direct reports in continuous improvement of department work processes, procedures, and infrastructure.

For this role, we seek a strong leader who possesses exceptional business acumen, financial management, and budgeting skills. They must also have proven staff management skills, leadership, motivational, and influencing skills.

The ideal candidate will be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, direct reports, managers, and customers at a senior level. They should also possess excellent communication (both verbal and written), presentation, and negotiation skills.
