IT Support Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and technically competent IT Support Executive to join our team in Hyderabad . In this role, you will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting various IT systems and user-level support, including laptops, internet connectivity, video conferencing tools, printers, biometric access control systems, and other office infrastructure. You will work closely with internal departments and external vendors to ensure seamless IT operations across the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Provide first-line technical support to end-users for issues related to laptops, desktops, network connectivity, email, and operating systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware including laptops, printers, routers, access points, and video conferencing equipment.
• Monitor and maintain internet connectivity and troubleshoot network-related issues (LAN / WAN, Wi-Fi, IP conflicts, etc.).
• Set up and support video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, etc.), including AV devices, webcams, and microphones.
• Manage and troubleshoot printing and scanning devices, including installation of drivers, network configuration, and routine maintenance.
• Administer biometric access control and attendance machines, ensuring data syncing with HR systems and daily monitoring.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure timely upgrades, patching, and updates of hardware and software.
• Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs, software renewals, and license compliance.
• Document IT support activities, maintain SOPs, and ensure users are trained on basic IT policies and tools.
• Ensure IT security protocols are followed, including antivirus updates, data backups, and safe usage practices.
• Support new joiner onboarding and exit formalities by setting up accounts, access rights, and recovering assets.

Requirements

Technical Skills : Hardware & Software Support : Strong troubleshooting knowledge of Windows, macOS, MS Office, and standard enterprise applications. Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to system performance, internet, email, and printers. Networking & Internet : Basic understanding of TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, LAN / WAN, and wireless networking. Familiarity with firewalls, switches, and routers (basic level). Video Conferencing & AV Equipment : Experience with setting up and managing video conferencing tools and AV peripherals. Access & Biometric Systems : Hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting biometric attendance and access control systems. IT Asset & Inventory Management : Ability to maintain IT logs, support records, and hardware / software inventories. Domain & Experience : Industry Experience : 2–3 years of relevant experience in an IT support or helpdesk role in a corporate environment.
