Factory Manager

Sola Wood Flowers is hiring a Head of Production to build and run our manufacturing operations in India.

You'll be responsible for everything that happens on the production floor: output, quality, workforce management, and operational improvements across our Indian facilities. As we scale, this role ensures we consistently deliver beautiful sola wood flowers and finished décor products at volume.

Manufacturing or factory operations experience is required. If you've worked in handcrafted or labor-intensive production settings, even better.

We're redefining artificial flowers with eco-friendly wooden blooms that look better and cost less. Today, we're part of over 6% of American weddings each year.

Our vision: a vertically-integrated $100mm+ platform selling direct-to-consumer, through our own retail locations, and via wholesale. We've grown to roughly 200 people in under six years, and we're bringing production in-house to fuel the next phase. That's where you come in.

What You'll Own

• Daily production planning and execution across Indian operations
• Hitting targets for volume, quality, and turnaround time
• Building, managing, and developing supervisors and production staff
• Driving improvements in throughput, efficiency, and labor productivity
• Establishing and enforcing quality control standards
• Coordinating with supply chain and planning teams to match production to demand
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects
• Maintaining clear production reporting and KPIs
• Ensuring compliance with safety, labor, and operational requirements

What We're Looking For

• Based in Kolkata (this is fully on-site)
• Proven experience running production or manufacturing operations
• Confident managing large teams in hands-on, labor-driven environments
• Execution-focused with strong operational instincts
• Comfortable using data to track performance and drive improvements
• Willing to provide references—we take hiring seriously and won't waste your time with a drawn-out process
• Ready to work 50+ hours a week as standard (you'd be restless with less)

• Building and adjusting production schedules and labor assignments
• Maintaining consistent quality across every flower we produce
• Solving bottlenecks on the floor as they happen
• Coaching and developing production leads
• Partnering with leadership to improve unit economics and reliability

Before you start, we'll define your KPIs and targets together—no guessing about whether you're succeeding.

The process: a brief introductory call, followed by an in-depth technical interview focused on production operations. We typically make offers within 8–10 days of first contact and pride ourselves on fast, transparent communication throughout.
