Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary : We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our product development

team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing innovative products, preparing

manufacturing-ready drawings, and ensuring designs meet manufacturability and

functionality standards. This role involves hands-on work with product CAD models,

DFM / DFA analysis, and collaboration with tooling and manufacturing partners.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for plastic and metal components.

Create design concepts considering functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability.

Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) reviews.

Perform mold flow and forming simulations to validate part manufacturability.

Collaborate with suppliers and toolmakers to optimize tooling and process design.

Support prototype fabrication, assembly trials, and testing.

Maintain design documentation, BOMs, and revision control.

Ensure compliance with safety, performance, and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or NX).

Strong understanding of plastic injection molding, sheet metal, die casting, and machining processes.

Experience with mold flow analysis and other simulation tools.

Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in consumer products, automotive, or industrial design.

Exposure to rapid prototyping and validation testing.
