Job Description : Position Summary
The Assistant Manager HR, IR & Administration will support the Head - HR, IR & Admin in managing employee relations, recruitment, compensation, and administrative functions.
The role ensures smooth HR operations, compliance with statutory requirements, and the maintenance of a healthy industrial and employee relations environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Industrial Relations (IR)
- Assist the Head -HR in handling industrial relations issues and maintaining harmony at the workplace.
- Collect and analyze data required for wage and settlement negotiations.
- Maintain cordial relationships with union and committee members.
- Support in grievance handling and disciplinary proceedings, ensuring fair and timely resolutions.
1. Wage and Salary Administration
Manage wage and salary processes for :Permanent TEMA workmen & FTCSupervise attendance systems, overtime records, and contractor payments.Maintain records of habitual latecomers and attendance deviations.Ensure compliance with statutory requirements in payroll and benefits administration.Maintain and update training records in line with ISO standards.1. Recruitment and Appointment
Assist in recruitment and selection for staff and workmen.Coordinate the entire hiring cycle — from job posting to interviews and onboarding.Prepare offer and appointment letters as per company policy.Oversee joining formalities and ensure completion of orientation documentation.Maintain updated and accurate personal files for all employees.1. Administration
Liaise with statutory and semi-government authorities such as the Factory Inspector, Labour Commissioner, etc.Ensure proper upkeep, safety, and maintenance of the office premises and surroundings.Supervise daily administrative operations and generate reports on attendance, absenteeism, and employee turnover.Competencies and Skills Required
Strong understanding of industrial relations and labour laws.
Good interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.Hands-on experience with payroll, attendance, and statutory compliance.Proficiency in MS Office and HR Information Systems (HRIS).Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.Educational Qualification & Experience Education :
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Human Resources, Labour Welfare, or related discipline.
Experience : 5–8 years in HR & IR functions, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering industry.
