Design & Technology (D&T) Educator – Senior School Inventure Academy, Bangalore Experience : Minimum 2 years of teaching Design & Technology / Engineering / Applied Design at the high school level, or equivalent design / industry experience. Candidates with 2+ years in the design or art field, with exposure to design-specific courses, are also welcome. As a D&T Educator, you’ll mentor learners through advanced design thinking, research, prototyping, and evaluation. Students will work with diverse materials, tools, and digital technologies as they move from concept to refined prototypes. From human-centred design challenges to CAD modelling, fabrication, and testing, you’ll guide young designers through an authentic design-engineering journey that prepares them for college, careers, and beyond. Teach and mentor senior school learners through a project-based D&T curriculum grounded in research, ideation, modelling, prototyping, and evaluation. Guide students through design-thinking workflows—writing design briefs, analysing user needs, generating ideas, and iterating based on feedback. Technical drawing and modelling CAD (2D / 3D)Engineering basics (mechanical, structural, materials)Evaluation, documentation, and portfolio building Supervise and mentor students through major coursework and portfolio projects—helping them scope ideas, plan materials, create prototypes, refine outcomes, and present their work. Ensure adherence to all workshop safety protocols and promote responsible use of tools, machines, and materials. coordinate procurement and inventory. Collaborate with the D&T and Makerspace teams to refine lesson flows, assessments, and project frameworks;Document learning through design journals, process photos, prototype iterations, and evaluations. Cultivate a culture of creativity, rigour, and craftsmanship—where students design with intention, test thoughtfully, and take pride in quality outcomes. Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Design, Engineering, Architecture, Product Design, or Applied Arts. Strong skills in CAD, modelling, fabrication, and prototyping (digital fabrication experience is a plus). Experience mentoring senior school or college-age learners through hands-on projects.
