Job Description – Python Architect (Google Project via Virtusa)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Python Architect to support high-impact engineering initiatives for Google. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and architecting scalable, cloud-native platforms using Python and modern frameworks. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure, and high-performance solutions aligned with Google’s engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement distributed systems using Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, and Django
• Build and optimize microservices and RESTful APIs tailored for Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Partner with product managers, engineering teams, and data scientists to convert business requirements into scalable technical architectures
• Drive technical excellence through architecture reviews, performance tuning, and best coding practices
• Lead engineering discussions, mentor development teams, and guide solution implementation
• Implement cloud-native infrastructure, including CI / CD pipelines , Docker / Kubernetes , and Terraform-based automation
• Ensure the solutions meet rigorous standards for security, reliability, and compliance
