Locomotive Driver

Responsibilities :

• Conduct pre-operation checks on traction units including safety equipment and documentation
• Verify completeness and validity of required documents and train data
• Perform brake tests and ensure all systems are operational prior to departure
• Operate locomotives during train shunting and special operations in accordance with regulatory standards
• Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues in line with instructions
• Carry out routine vehicle inspections and report any defects or damages
• Assist in securing cargo and managing coupling / uncoupling procedures
• Perform shunting line operations and prepare for locomotive train journeys
• Provide customer service during operations and support passenger or freight handling as needed

Required Skills :

Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Locomotive Driver Proficiency in German (written and spoken) at a minimum B1 level supported by official certification or diploma
