About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Staff Software Engineer / LIMS Lead Developer to design, build, and enhance laboratory workflows within our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and across other integrated systems that drive lab operations.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in enabling oncology and cancer genomics workflows —transforming patient samples from order to result with precision, efficiency, and scalability. Your work will directly contribute to advancing cancer diagnostics, treatment decisions, and research innovations.
You’ll be responsible for customizing and integrating LIMS, developing fullstack solutions, and ensuring seamless data flow across enterprise systems. This is a technical leadership role , offering an opportunity to shape the future of our digital lab ecosystem and improve outcomes for cancer patients worldwide.
What You’ll Do
Qualifications
Must-Have :
12+ years of enterprise software development experience in an agile environment
8+ years in Java development
8+ years working with RESTful APIs (RAML, Swagger / OpenAPI)
5+ years with AWS or other cloud platforms
6+ years of hands-on data modeling (relational, NoSQL, XML / JSON)
5+ years customizing commercial LIMS systems ( LabVantage preferred)
3+ years building software in regulated industries (healthcare or financial)
Strong knowledge of microservices, serverless, or CQRS architecture patterns
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Nice-to-Have :
Experience with MuleSoft or other integration platforms
Prior work in the healthcare / oncology industry with knowledge of compliance regulations
Hands-on with enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle ERP )
Familiarity with oncology laboratory operations, diagnostics, and cancer genomics workflows
