Job description

A US / Canadian Based IT MNC is hiring for Lead Crystal Reports Developer (v4.3).

Work Location : Remote

Shift Timings : 2 : 30 PM to 11 : 30 PM

We are seeking an experienced Senior Crystal Reports Developer  with expertise in SAP Crystal Reports 4.3 . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining complex reports that support business operations and decision-making. This role requires close collaboration with business users, data teams, and application developers to deliver accurate, user-friendly, and scalable reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy Crystal Reports (v4.3)  for operational and analytical reporting.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
  • Create complex reports with advanced formulas, sub-reports, cross-tabs, and drill-down functionalities.
  • Integrate Crystal Reports with various databases  (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, DB2, etc.).
  • Optimize queries and reports for performance and scalability .
  • Develop reusable report templates and maintain version control.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues in a timely manner.
  • Work with ETL / data teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency in reports.
  • Document report logic, design standards, and end-user instructions.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience  in report development with at least 3+ years using Crystal Reports 4.3 .
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, and database objects .
  • Hands-on experience with complex report design  (multi-level grouping, formulas, parameters, and sub-reports).
  • Experience integrating reports into applications or enterprise reporting platforms .
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and relational database concepts .
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience in banking, finance, or insurance domain  reporting.
  • Knowledge of BusinessObjects BI suite  and integration with Crystal Reports.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based reporting solutions  and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

    • Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
