QA Automation Engineer (Playwright)

We are seeking experienced Web Quality Assurance and Test Engineers with deep expertise in both manual and automation testing.

Candidates should hold a B.Tech in Computer Science or possess an equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.

The ideal profile includes 8+ years of overall experience in Agile QA and Testing Engineering, with at least 4 years each in automation testing, manual testing, and scripting or coding.

The role requires close collaboration with product engineering teams, software developers, and product managers to understand business and technical requirements, assess risk, and ensure high-quality outcomes.

A strong understanding of Agile QA methodologies and tools is essential, as is the ability to view product features from the end-user's perspective.

Candidates should have a proven ability to gather testing requirements, create detailed test plans and models, and define quality metrics to evaluate product performance.

The role demands hands-on experience in test planning, design, strategy, and execution, along with strong test case organization skills. Applicants must be able to interpret acceptance criteria, write acceptance tests for user stories, and manage multiple test executions simultaneously while synthesizing results.

A good understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) is expected. Technical skills should include automation with Playwright or Cypress, scripting in JavaScript or TypeScript, validating HTTP request / response schemas, handling HTTP codes and exceptions, and testing GraphQL APIs. Proficiency with browser developer tools and accessibility testing using tools like JAWS is also required.

QA Engineers should demonstrate expert-level knowledge of Playwright, Cypress, JIRA, Confluence, and browser developer tools, with intermediate-level expertise in JAWS.

The standard work hours for this position are from 1 : 30 PM IST to 9 : 30 PM IST.
