Senior Backend Software Engineer - Java

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. The ideal candidate is passionate about backend development, has deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot, and thrives in a collaborative, agile, and product-centric environment.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) :

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with internal / external systems including Salesforce.com.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, and QA Engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of backend services, from architecture design to deployment and monitoring on AWS.
• Ensure high code quality by writing unit tests (JUnit), performing code reviews, and adhering to clean coding practices.
• Own the implementation of domain-driven design (DDD) principles in backend architecture.
• Ensure the security, performance, and availability of backend applications through best practices and modern tooling.
• Implement and manage CI / CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and JFrog Artifactory.
• Package applications into Docker containers and manage deployments using ECS, Lambda, and other AWS services.
• Collaborate in Agile teams following Scrum or SAFe methodologies, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Provide mentorship to junior developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
• Explore and contribute to the integration of AI / LLM agents and the implementation of Model Context Protocol (MCP).
