Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Controller to join our publishing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all published materials are of the highest quality and free from errors. This role requires a deep understanding of the publishing industry and an ability to work collaboratively with AL's and production teams.

What you'll do

• Review all manuscripts, proofs, and final published materials for accuracy, consistency, and quality against the publisher guidelines
• Provide feedback to the production teams to improve the overall quality of published materials
• Ensure compliance with established publishing standards and guidelines
• Identify and resolve any quality control issues that arise during the publishing process
• Monitor and track quality control metrics to identify areas for improvement
• Train and mentor other staffs as needed
• Collaborate with other publishing teams to ensure quality control processes are aligned with company goals and objectives
• Develop and implement quality control procedures for all published materials
  
  

Skills/ Experience

• Should have minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in Typesetting and e-Publishing industry and have strong knowledge in book QC process.
• Checking the style & layout with consistency usage and cross-checking the corrections from the author and publisher after the page proofs
• Should know the proofreading symbols, math type usage, scientific notations, and equation breakings
• Should have analytical thinking and strong input analysis of the project
• Should have vast knowledge in typography and typesetting rules is a must
• Should have experience in the printer QC, preflight reports and document compare process.
• Should have strong knowledge in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
• Exhibits personal initiative and the ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Should be flexible to learn and work on a variety of projects
• Experience in Journals is an added advantage
