Job descriptionBachelor’s degree or diploma in Fashion Design (or strong equivalent portfolio). Proven experience in women’s ethnic wear design, pattern making, and garment construction. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design tools. Strong eye for color, drape, fabrics, and contemporary ethnic styles. Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning the full design cycle in a start-up setting.
SKALY is an emerging women’s ethnic–contemporary brand seeking a hands-on Fashion Designer to create our first collections from concept to finished product. You’ll lead every step—perfect for a creative self-starter who loves end-to-end ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Concept – Create seasonal themes and garment designs aligned with SKALY’s aesthetic.
- Sketch & Pattern – Prepare detailed sketches, technical drawings, and patterns for production; create tech packs and send them to manufacturers.
- Fabric & Color – Source fabrics and trims; develop cohesive color palettes with a focus on sustainability.
- Sampling & Fit – Oversee sample making, conduct fit sessions, and refine until production-ready.
- Trend & Market Research – Track fashion trends and customer preferences to keep designs relevant.
- Presentation & Launch Prep – Build lookbooks and design notes for manufacturers and marketing use.
