Software Engineer (1–5 years)

Full‑time, on‑site in Mumbai

Role Description

As a Software Engineer at Faze, you will join a fast‑growing team and contribute across the entire product lifecycle.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and build new features

Maintain and optimize existing web and mobile applications

Debug issues, write clean, efficient, and well‑tested code

Contribute innovative ideas to improve performance, scalability, and user experience

Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies

Support CI / CD pipelines and dev‑ops tasks on AWS

Key responsibilities

Design, implement and maintain backend services and REST / gRPC APIs in Go .

Build scalable systems with attention to performance, reliability, and observability.

Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to define API contracts.

Write unit / integration tests and participate in code reviews.

Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot services in production; contribute to on-call rotation as needed.

Help shape architecture decisions and identify opportunities for technical improvement.

Must-have skills

Strong practical experience in Golang for backend development.

Experience building RESTful APIs and familiarity with gRPC.

Good understanding of database systems (SQL and / or NoSQL) and query optimization.

Knowledge of concurrency patterns and performance profiling in Go.

Familiar with containerization (Docker) and basic orchestration concepts.

Experience with Git, CI / CD pipelines and writing automated tests.

Problem-solving mindset and clear communication skills.

Nice-to-have

Experience with Kubernetes, service meshes, or cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).

Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), caching (Redis) and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger).

Experience with DDD or microservices patterns.

Experience in payments, fleet or logistics domains.

Qualifications & experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

0–5 years building backend systems in production.
