Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, organised, detail-oriented Release Manager to join a mid-scale multi-year digital transformation programme to manage releases to infrastructure and core data products for our customer. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling the movement of releases to live environments, ensuring the integrity of the live environment is protected and that the correct components are released.

The role :

The Release Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end Release Management process for the BA ODIE program, working and communicating with stakeholders to understand and fulfill their release requirements, measuring demand, determining risk and managing the release schedule.

You will share a passion for ITIL, be process driven and focused on continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with stakeholders at different layers and different points in the release lifecycle to obtain, structure and manage requirements for releases to data products and infrastructure.

You will be expected to contribute to delivering client engagements, working in cross-functional teams including on / near / offshore practitioners, client staff and senior stakeholders in a variety of contexts, across the programme. We are seeking a person who is used to working in a consultative manner and used to working on behalf of clients in fast paced and demanding environments.

The person in this role :

• Will act as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure alignment and communication regarding release activities
• Needs to work on multiple initiatives concurrently
• Manages conflicting priorities to resolution
• Facilitates release readiness reviews and post-implementation reviews with stakeholders.
• Develops, documents, and maintains release management processes that adhere to ITIL best practices
• Sets up and maintains strong relationships with team members and wider stakeholders in other squads, and third parties by effectively managing expectations and inspiring confidence in delivery
• Works closely with project managers, developers, and operations across the program to ensure the delivery of high-quality data product and infrastructure releases
• Acts as a single point of contact for Release Management between the NTT programme delivery team and stakeholders throughout the wider customer business
• Sets up and maintains strong relationships with team members and wider stakeholders in other squads, and third parties by effectively managing expectations and inspiring confidence in delivery
• Identifies, documents, and manages risks associated with release activities
• Ensures that all releases comply with security and compliance standards.
• Collaborates with the BA Change Management team to ensure that releases are compliant with change management policies and process
• Ensures that all changes are documented, reviewed, and approved according to established procedures.
