Platform Engineer - Bangalore

Role Overview : As a Platform Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure using modern tools and technologies. You will play a key role in optimizing our deployment processes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IAC) practices.

Utilize your deep expertise in Golang development (5+ years) to enhance our platform's functionalities and performance.

Implement and maintain Envoy for service mesh architecture and API gateway solutions.

Work closely with AWS services to architect and deploy scalable solutions in the cloud.

Develop automation solutions throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to streamline deployments, monitoring, and operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues and optimize application performance.

Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, and propose continuous improvements for infrastructure and deployment processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.

Extensive hands-on experience (5+ years) as a Golang developer, with a strong understanding of concurrency, data structures, and microservices architecture.

Practical knowledge of Envoy for managing service mesh and proxying traffic.

Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly AWS, with a focus on services like EC2, S3, IAM, etc.

Experience in Kubernetes administration, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.

Strong understanding of CI / CD pipelines and experience in building automation tools for deployment and monitoring.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

Certification in AWS (., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).

Familiarity with other cloud providers (., Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Experience with Prometheus / Grafana for monitoring and observability.

Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration tools (., Docker Swarm).
