Job Description

Education / Qualifications / Technical Skills

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience in large-scale industrial project and in the related engineering discipline

Main Purpose Of The Job

The Design Team Leader job's purpose is to manage the design production of the associated discipline.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Acting as a technical referent related to his / her discipline

Assuring design production related to his / her discipline in line with Client and project requirements and in accordance with schedule

Checking or reviewing design documentation drafted by the team members

Assuring an adequate coordination of the team members with other departments or other disciplines

Attending design meetings and design control groups with the Client

Assessing design strategies proposed by the Client and intervening in technical discussions, as required

Reporting progress to the Design Project Manager and liaise with him for risks identification and management

Alerting the Design Project Manager of any technical issue or delay in design production

Key Personality Characteristics / Abilitie

Controlling works.

Relationship with the contractors.

Liaising with design to find the best technical solutions.

Bringing their expertise to the project and teams on their field

Knowledge of the work progress on their building or disciplines.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Experience in large-scale industrial project and in the related engineering discipline
