Job Summary / Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Ledger Team Leader to oversee a team of financial accountants. The role involves managing general ledger processes, performing reconciliations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with deadlines and service-level agreements (SLAs). This position plays a critical role in financial reporting, variance analysis, and client interactions, particularly with US-based companies.
Responsibilities / Duties :
Oversee general ledger activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, bank statements, and payroll accounting for US companiesConduct daily huddles with the team to ensure task alignmentPerform advanced reconciliations and prepare monthly deliverables for managementSubmit monthly financial reports to clientsComplete all assigned jobs accurately and within committed timelinesMaintain the work allocation matrix and prepare monthly KPI metricsEscalate unresolved matters to management promptlyAdhere to information security and control proceduresCorrect errors related to reversals and re-entriesEnsure timely GL reconciliations for all balance sheet items as per SLAReview trial balance, profit and loss statements, and balance sheetsConduct variance analysis and submit financial statements to controllersLead assigned projects from the Manager–OperationsAssist clients in resolving audit queries during quarter-end and year-end closingResearch accounting discrepancies and coordinate with clients for resolutionContinually document and maintain accounting proceduresThe Profile

Work Schedule : 8 : 00 PM to 4 : 00 AM
Qualifications :
7 to 10 years of experience in Finance and AccountingAbility to lead and develop a team of 5 or more peopleRelevant experience as a Team Leader of financial accountants or similarStrong knowledge of accounting principlesKnowledge and experience of accounting software (preferred : Oracle, M3, Yardi)Strong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel essentialAbility to interpret and evaluate the accuracy of data and information quicklySelf-starter with the ability to navigate without ambiguityAbility to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlinesProblem-solving skills with initiative, within the parameters of the roleWillingness and ability to present a convincing point of view within scope ofThe Employer
