Azure Manager - Cloud

Position Overview

We are seeking an Azure Platform Engineering Manager to lead our India-based engineering team. This role is pivotal in driving the design, development, and operational excellence of our Azure-based cloud platform, supporting mission-critical healthcare billing applications. You will work closely with US-based senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a Safe Agile environment to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and mentor a team of Azure platform engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with US-based leadership and product teams to align platform capabilities with business goals.

Drive the implementation of Azure best practices in infrastructure-as-code, CI / CD, monitoring, and security.

Own and lead troubleshooting and resolution efforts during production outages or critical incidents, ensuring rapid root cause analysis and system restoration.

Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance to meet the demands of healthcare billing systems.

Champion Agile and SAFe methodologies, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of platform features.

Manage team capacity, performance reviews, and career development plans.

Oversee incident response, operational tasks, and proactive platform improvements.

Required Qualifications :

10+ years  of hands-on experience in  Azure platform engineering , including IaaS, PaaS, networking, and security.

Proven  people leadership experience , with a track record of managing high-performing engineering teams.

Strong understanding of  Agile / SAFe  methodologies and DevOps practices.

Excellent  communication and collaboration skills , with the ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures.

Experience in the  healthcare domain  or other regulated industries is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills :

Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-305, AZ-400).

Experience with tools like Terraform, GitHub Actions, and monitoring platforms (e.g., LogicMonitor, Azure Monitor, App Insights).

Familiarity with containerization (AKS, Docker) and microservices architecture.

Experience with cost allocation and financial reporting initiatives to support Finance in tracking cloud spend and optimizing budget alignment.
