Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Officer, located in Ahmedabad. Key responsibilities include maintaining supplier relationships, managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory, analyzing market trends and collaborating with R&D, quality control to support new product development and achieve financial targets, ensure timely delivery of goods, and handle any issues that arise with orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Management : Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers to secure high-quality, cost-effective raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.
• Negotiation : Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to meet the company's financial goals and optimize procurement costs.
• Procurement Process : Manage the entire buying process, including creating and monitoring purchase orders and ensuring proper documentation.
• Inventory Control : Monitor inventory levels, forecast supply and demand, and ensure adequate stock to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Collaboration : Work closely with Production, customer sales / customer support, warehouse and logistics and Quality Control teams to understand product requirements, and address operational issues.
• Market Analysis : Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and the competitive landscape to identify continuous improvement opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
• Data & Reporting : Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data, and prepare information for budgeting and financial forecasting
