Working Days : 6 days a week
Timings : 9 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM (Should be flexible on timings)
About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Indexer with 1–2 years of experience in book indexing. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of English, attention to detail, and the ability to create accurate, reader-friendly indexes for both analytical and narrative nonfiction titles.
Key Responsibilities
- Create precise and comprehensive indexes for trade and scholarly books.
- Analyze manuscript structure, themes, and terminology to establish clear subject hierarchies.
- Ensure consistency in terminology and use of cross-references.
- Follow publishing standards and indexing conventions.
- Incorporate author and editor feedback in line with project style guides.
- Work efficiently using Microsoft Word and PDF annotation tools.
