Job description

Proven knowledge of WAN, LAN and MAN.

Proven knowledge of DNS, IP, Firewalls, latency issues, WAN acceleration tools

Routing and switching protocols including RIP.OSPF.BGP,EIGRP,STP,VTP

Provide network technical accountability .

Configure, monitor, and tune WAN / LAN network devices to optimize network performance and assure network security in a high availability environment.

Configure and manage Cisco Nexus / Catalyst switches, and ISR in a 1G / 10G multi VLAN distributed network.

Implement security policies through ACLs and MAC level restrictions in LAN and WAN environments.

Network systems planning and diagramming Visio for documentation.

Understanding of transport protocols, routing protocols, and security / authentication protocols at all layers of the OSI model with emphasis on TCP / IP are essential.

Must have knowledge networking features and protocols such as EIGRP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, VTP, STP, Ether channel, 802.1Q trunking, HSRP, QoS, multicast, RADIUS / TACACS , SNMP, T-1 / E-1 - T3 / E3, Metro Ethernet, BRI / PRI, and MPLS.
