Assistant Director / Senior Assistant Director - Higher Education

Job descriptionComprehensive understanding of higher education landscape ( policy, regulatory, etc) Ability to interface with stakeholders at mid / senior level( govt, regulatory, universities, industry, etc) Primary and Secondary research, Managing events / delegations / conferences Analysis & Report writing Project Management Excellent presentation skills and MS office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, FORMS, TEAMS) Work with the Higher Education Committee leadership and members in identifying the important areas / topics for thought leadership papers, reports, articles, etc. Interface regularly with regulatory bodies / Ministry of Education / Other related ministries / state govts and pro-actively engage in developing FICCI report / inputs on any govt notification, policy document, etc Develop strategic partnerships with University leaders / multilateral / bilateral organizations and other important stakeholders in higher education Conduct periodic committee meetings under the guidance of Committee leadership (develop agenda, prepare minutes, etc). Identify and create small groups of experts / Task Forces to address specific sectoral issues Work with the identified Task Forces (TFs) in developing papers and executing bespoke projects The Task Force work would include report writing, project implementation, surveys and research; events / webinars / masterclasses; program development and implementation Work towards mobilizing new members and manage the membership engagement / activities Organize and manage the annual global FICCI Higher Education Summit Work with the Committee leadership in designing the conference program and in identifying national and international partners Manage masterclasses / workshops and focused closed-door interactions between industry and academic leaders. Work towards generating revenue for the department through sponsorship, delegate participation, etc Manage social media branding and its effective execution. Coordination with speakers and delegate mobilization; developing post show report Work towards identifying / executing projects in the space of industry-academia engagement. Reconnect with FICCI’s NKFH ( National Knowledge Functional Hub) partners and initiate activities based on the NKFH framework Organize various capacity building programs of faculty and Higher Education Leadership Engage with World Bank and other global agencies and explore joint projects. Identify and explore projects of mutual interest with Central govt agencies / state governments Ideate and execute masterclasses, workshops, webinars on important / relevant topic. Engage Committee leadership and senior government functionaries in some of the identified / select ones. Develop partnerships with external partners and generate revenue for the organization. Keep a close eye on recent government announcements (policies, regulations, amendments and develop FICCI inputs / recommendations for their consideration Work with the Knowledge Partner in providing information through secondary research (wherever required) for the annual FICCI Knowledge report released during the FICCI HE Summit every year. Work closely with the Key committee members / task forces and help in putting together the position papers / reports on the identified areas. A bi-monthly sectoral newsletter with an outreach to all stakeholders (faculty, industry, students, MSMEs etc) as an outreach initiative Collate relevant news items / articles for every edition Strive to generate revenue by identifying and mobilizing potential partners who may take up advertisements for being published in the eduwrap
We are looking for :
- MBA / MBE / MSW / MA – Economics / Social Sciences / Other disciplines
- 4-12 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience of working in education / other social sectors (preferred)
