Description : Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Azure cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI / CD pipelines, with strong hands-on skills in Terraform, Bicep, and Docker. This role will be instrumental in building and leading a new DevOps platform team, establishing best practices, and ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Cloud Architecture & Design :

Architect, design, and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure using Azure IaaS and PaaS services (80 : 20 ratio).
Define and enforce cloud governance, cost management, and compliance standards.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

Develop, maintain, and automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Bicep.

Create reusable templates and modules for consistent and efficient environment deployments.

CI / CD & Automation :

Design, build, and manage CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

Integrate testing, security scanning, and deployment automation into the delivery process.

Containerization & Orchestration :

Implement container-based solutions using Docker; exposure to Kubernetes (AKS) is a plus.

Optimize build, deploy, and runtime configurations for performance and scalability.

Security & Compliance :

Apply industry best practices in securing cloud workloads, data, and network configurations.

Manage identity and access (Azure AD, RBAC, policies) and ensure compliance with organizational security standards.

Networking & Infrastructure Management :

Configure and manage Azure networking components VNETs, subnets, VPNs, peering, NAT gateways, routing tables, and firewalls.

Ensure connectivity, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of cloud network infrastructure.

Monitoring & Maintenance :

Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).

Optimize system performance, capacity, and cost efficiency.

Collaboration & Leadership :

Collaborate with developers, architects, and operations teams to enable DevOps culture.

Mentor junior engineers and define DevOps standards, documentation, and processes for the new platform team.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.

Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture and services (IaaS & PaaS).

Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Bicep.

Hands-on with CI / CD tools Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins (optional).

Containerization experience with Docker (Kubernetes / AKS preferred).

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals VNet routing, VPNs, NAT gateways, subnets, and firewalls.

Good knowledge of Windows Server and SQL Server at the OS level.

Familiarity with security, identity, and access management best practices.

Experience with GitHub-based repositories and version control workflows.

Exposure to AWS or multi-cloud environments (good to have).

Nice-to-Have Skills :

Kubernetes (AKS)

Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python

Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor)

Knowledge of microservices and API management
