Microservices Analyst Engineer

Your career is about more than money; it’s about making a meaningful impact for our customers and communities. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst Engineer to join our Microservices team, with a focus on the Cards domain in Retail Banking.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about building scalable, cloud-native microservices that power our card products—from issuance and transactions to rewards and fraud detection.

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

§ Take ownership of investigating user requirements and problems, delivering innovative technology solutions in the cards space.

§ Design, develop, and maintain microservices supporting card lifecycle, transaction flows, and customer engagement.

§ Deliver detailed design specifications and develop, test, and maintain programs aligned with technical, functional, and non-functional requirements.

§ Contribute to the development of engineering standards and quality assurance practices across the team.

§ Ensure all work is documented and aligned with industry standards for information retention and re-use.

§ Create and execute implementation strategies for new features and enhancements.

§ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that benefit our customers and stakeholders.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE :

§ 5+ years of experience in application development and / or support.

§ Strong programming skills in Java 8 / 11, Spring / Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.

§ Experience with microservices architecture, CI / CD pipelines, and automated testing.

§ Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

§ Understanding of retail banking operations, particularly in the cards domain (e.g., credit / debit card systems, transaction processing, PCI compliance).

TECHNICAL SKILLS :

§ Experience with Kafka, MQ, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, Gradle, and SQL.

§ Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, Groovy, and Linux shell scripting.

§ Front-end exposure to React and Node.js.

§ Monitoring and logging tools like Splunk and AppDynamics.

§ Agile tools such as JIRA or Rally.
