Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Superintendent to lead the safe, reliable, and cost-effective management of oil / product tanker fleet. This shore-based role is the critical link between ship and shore—ensuring vessels are always seaworthy, compliant, and operating at peak performance.

What will you do?

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned vessels, supporting Masters and Chief Engineers.
• Oversee day-to-day technical and operational matters : maintenance, repairs, spares, stores, surveys, and inspections.
• Drive PMS compliance to keep machinery in top condition and vessels incident-free.
• Ensure all certifications and class requirements are up to date.
• Plan and supervise dry docking, surveys, and repairs, including budget control and post-docking reports.
• Conduct vessel performance analysis and advise on fuel and lube oil trends.
• Manage operating costs within budget without compromising safety.
• Lead incident / accident investigations, implement preventive measures, and close out risk assessments.
• Initiate and oversee Management of Change (MOC) for vessel modifications and new installations.
• Collaborate closely with owners, charterers, surveyors, contractors, and internal teams.
