Job Title : Network Security Engineer (Global Extranet Delivery)

Location : Chennai

Work Type : 4 Days WFO

Experience Required : 10+ years in IT

Position Description :

Responsibilities :

Design, install, configure, and deploy Extranet network and security solutions

Lead migration efforts from Cisco to Palo Alto firewalls

Perform firewall, router, and Nexus switch code upgrades

Partner with technical teams to build robust and scalable network designs

Provide 3rd-level troubleshooting, outage management, and technical support

Review, validate, and approve change controls

Deliver consulting services to customers to develop tailored network solutions

Develop automation and scripting to optimize deployments and operations

Recommend improvements to enhance performance, security, and reliability

Provide technical training to Service Desk, Operations, and other stakeholders

Participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday support as required

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Network Security and Firewall operations

Strong background in Network Engineering and Network Security, especially in Cisco environments

Palo Alto Networks

Firewalls : 3400, 3800, 5200, 5400 series

Panorama

Prisma Access / Strata Cloud Manager

Expertise in setup, configuration, management, troubleshooting, scripting, and upgrades

Cisco Systems

Firewalls : Firepower (2100, 3100, 4100, 9300), Meraki MX67 / MX68, ASA, FTD

Management Platforms : Cisco Security Manager, Firepower Management Center, Meraki Console

Routers / Switches : ISR1100, ASR100x, C8500, Nexus 9300 / 9500

Skilled in setup, configuration, troubleshooting, management, and upgrades

Additional Skills

Strong automation and scripting capabilities

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse global teams

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Strong attention to detail and adaptability
