Solution Architect – Industrial IoT & Azure (12-Month Contract | Remote – India)

Work on a true greenfield project where your architectural decisions directly shape a large-scale industrial IoT platform. This is a rare opportunity to own the architecture of a next-generation telemetry solution that will ingest and process real-time data from heavy industrial equipment across multiple remote sites. This isn’t “maintain what exists” — this is design it from scratch .

  • Remote role (Sydney time zone - flexible overlap)
  • INR 250K - 300K / month
  • 12 month contract (Extendable as per project demand)

The Opportunity

You’ll lead the end-to-end architecture for a cloud-based telemetry ingestion platform built on Microsoft Azure, connecting 1,000+ devices across 20+ locations. Working alongside OT engineers, IT teams, and external vendors, you will define the blueprint and provide architectural governance through implementation. What You'll Be Doing

  • Design the full Azure architecture for telemetry ingestion, processing, storage, and integrations
  • Develop architectural documentation including data flows, security, HA requirements, and scalability plans
  • Define integration patterns between edge gateways, Azure IoT / Event Hub, database layer, and third-party dashboards
  • Provide architectural oversight during rollout and maintain governance through delivery
  • Ensure the solution aligns to Azure best practices, security standards, and enterprise requirements

    • Tech Environment You'll Work With

  • Microsoft Azure (IoT Hub / Event Hub, networking, monitoring, and additional services based on your design)
  • Time-series data storage (InfluxDB or similar)
  • Edge gateways and industrial telemetry hardware
  • Integration with third-party dashboard / visualisation tools

    • About You

    You are a senior architect who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and enjoys being the decision-maker on architecture direction.

    You’ll succeed in this role if you have :

  • 5+ years in cloud / solution architecture (Azure preferred)
  • Strong hands-on experience in Industrial IoT or telemetry / OT environments
  • Proven design experience with high-throughput data pipelines and time-series databases
  • Solid understanding of edge computing and networking
  • Ability to communicate complex designs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Certification in Azure (Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent experience) is highly advantageous.
