Role Overview
The AVP – Engineering will lead the complete technology build and delivery of the BLive Mobility platform, a global SaaS solution that integrates EV fleet management, charging infrastructure, driver operations, and carbon management.
This role demands a hands-on engineering leader who can architect, code when needed, and drive agile delivery across cross-functional teams. The AVP will define the technical roadmap, guide system design, ensure performance and security, and scale the platform across India and internationally.
We have a defined budget for this role in the range of 35–40 LPA. Please consider this before applying.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technology Leadership & Platform Ownership
- Own the end-to-end engineering strategy, roadmap, and execution for the Esyasoft Mobility platform.
- Architect and build a scalable, modular, multi-tenant SaaS platform integrating Fleet, Charging, Driver, and Carbon modules.
- Collaborate closely with product management to translate feature roadmaps into sprint-ready engineering plans.
- Drive continuous delivery, code quality, and release discipline to ensure platform reliability and high uptime.
- Manage system scalability, availability, and cost optimization on cloud infrastructure (AWS).
2. Hands-On Development & Architecture
Lead by example — contribute to architecture, code reviews, and critical development when required.Define and maintain technical standards, coding best practices, and architecture frameworks.Lead design for microservices-based, API-first architecture with strong data interoperability.Oversee data integrations with ERP systems, OEM telematics, CIAM, and external APIs.Partner with DevOps to design secure, automated, and observable infrastructure (CI / CD, monitoring, IaC).3. Engineering Execution & Team Leadership
Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team (backend, frontend, QA, DevOps).Create a strong engineering culture of accountability, ownership, and innovation.Conduct regular technical design and database schema reviews.Collaborate with Product and Business teams for clear sprint planning and delivery alignment.Oversee vendor or partner tech integrations for accelerated delivery.4. AI, Data, and Innovation
Drive the use of AI / ML for predictive analytics, route optimization, and carbon insights.Work with the data team to establish real-time event-driven data pipelines (Kafka, SQS).Explore emerging technologies that enhance mobility intelligence and operational efficiency.Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience in software development, architecture, and engineering leadership.Proven track record in building multi-tenant SaaS platforms from scratch or scaling them significantly.Deep expertise in Node.js / NestJS, microservices, and AWS Cloud Architecture.Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS), containerization, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform / Ansible).Strong understanding of event-driven systems (Kafka, SQS, SNS) and cloud observability (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB).Exposure to security, compliance, and performance tuning at scale.Ability to make build vs. buy decisions, manage vendors, and balance short-term execution with long-term vision.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science, Engineering, or related field.Prior experience in EV mobility, Fleet tech, logistics, or IoT platforms.Familiarity with AI / ML integrations, telematics data, or carbon footprint analytics.Soft Skills
