Unix Support Engineer (Riyadh, Saudi based)

Role : Unix Support - L2 / L3 - IMS Banking - 2 roles

Location : Riyadh, Saudi (Onsite)

Type : Full time – Perm

Visa : Sponsored incl. Family members, Insurance and other benefits

Experience : 6+ years (L2), 10+ years (L3)

Availability : 60 days max.

Skills : Unix - AIX (6.1 / 7.1 / 7.2 / 7.3) , Power 8 / 9 / 10 , HMC (v10) , VIOS (3.1.1.25 / 3.1.4.31 / 4.1.0.21)

Requisites :

• Provide L2 or L3-level support for Unix in a mission-critical banking environment.
• Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulator requirements.
• Operate under ITIL processes (Incident / Change / Problem / Knowledge).
• Maintain high availability, performance, and security; participate in DR / BCP drills.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents and manage approved platform changes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement permanent fixes.
• Tune configurations and schedule jobs to enhance performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with vendors (TAC cases, firmware / patch planning) and validate post-change health.
• Demonstrate strong documentation, runbook hygiene, and clear communication with operations, security, audit, and business stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset with readiness for 24x7 support and on-call rotation.
