Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Linux administration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database architectures, be adept at scripting, and committed to ensuring data integrity, security, and availability across systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and maintain PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases in production and development environments.
- Administer Linux-based database servers, including setup, configuration, tuning, and patching.
- Develop and manage backup and recovery plans to ensure data protection and high availability.
- Monitor database performance and implement changes for optimization.
- Write and maintain efficient Bash / Shell scripts for automation and system management.
- Ensure compliance with database security protocols and implement best practices.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support integration and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database systems with minimal downtime.
- Maintain documentation for database systems, configurations, and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Hands-on experience with Linux administration is essential.Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.Solid understanding of database concepts, design, and normalization.Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.Proficiency in Bash / Shell scripting.Familiarity with database security standards and practices.Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.Quick learner with a proactive mindset and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
