About Trip8

Trip8 is reimagining how people plan and book travel. No more chaos, hidden costs, or shady agents. We’re building a one-stop platform where travelers can request itineraries, compare verified quotes, and book securely. Starting with North-East India, our mission is simple : make trip planning as seamless as booking a flight.

We already have an offline arm doing over 15 Lakhs / Month revenue with 25-30% profit margin. So, Trip8 will not die, even if we don’t raise funds. It’s a super power which will make success inevitable for Trip8.

We now need the smartest people building Trip8. We have Awesome CTO, Tech Lead, Front-End Developer and Back-End Developers. The missing link is an Amazing Product Designer.

First Things First

We are already in operations for more than 10 months. We have considerable industry experience and strong revenue flow. We know that we’ll make Trip8 successful. We need the smartest team members in our team.

And we need people who are willing to sacrifice temporary gains for significant growth in 2-5 year time horizon.

We need people who will own a part of Trip8, work their as

  • off and make it tremendously successful, unbelievably fast.

You should be willing to take a 20-50% reduced salary for couple of months till we raise funds. And then you’ll get more hikes in a year than you could probably get in 3-5 years in other places. Plus the equity. We want to make the first 10-15 team members millionaires in 3-5 years.

Why This Role is Different

We’re not hiring a “UI / UX resource.”

We’re looking for a founding Product Designer who will :

  • Own design end-to-end : research, UX, UI, prototypes, testing.
  • Build the Trip8 experience from scratch — journeys, flows, and design systems that scale.
  • Think like a founder : tie design to growth, trust, and conversion.
  • Move fast : prototype, test, and iterate with real users.
  • Shape the brand : make Trip8 feel simple, modern, and trustworthy.

    • This is your chance to be the first designer at a high-growth startup, put your fingerprint on a product from day zero, and grow with it.

    Requirements

  • Strong understanding of design principles, laws, and user psychology and ability to apply them in real-world product design.
  • 3–6 years of design experience in consumer apps, marketplaces, or travel / fintech / e-commerce products.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX case studies (not just pretty screens).
  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar tools .
  • Ability to prototype quickly and test with real users.
  • Experience creating and maintaining a design system .
  • Strong understanding of how design impacts conversion, retention, and trust .
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • A startup mindset : comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and wearing multiple hats.
  • Designed products end to end.
  • Business and technology understanding.
  • Understands Millennial and GenZ user behaviour.
  • Aged below 30 and has 3-6 years of rich experience in high-growth early stage startups.
  • Unmarried, ready to relocate if the need be (Currently Remote).
  • Growth seeking and not work-life-balance seeking.

    • Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in travel-tech, marketplaces, or trust-driven platforms .
  • Ability to contribute to brand identity, marketing design, and storytelling .
  • Basic understanding of frontend constraints (HTML / CSS / React knowledge is a plus, not mandatory).
  • Loves travelling, and has travelled extensively.
