Job description

Ascent Finechem is a leading specialty chemical manufacturing company supplying essential Key Starting Materials (KSMs) and API intermediates to pharmaceutical companies worldwide.

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our International Sales & Business Development efforts in the pharmaceutical intermediates sector. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ambli-Bopal, Ahmedabad, and offers a unique opportunity to drive global sales strategies, expand our international footprint, and cultivate relationships with leading pharmaceutical companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement comprehensive international sales strategies to drive business growth and market expansion.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management : Identify and establish relationships with prospective clients while maintaining and enhancing connections with existing global and domestic clients.
  • Market Analysis : Conduct in-depth market research to inform sales projections and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Performance Monitoring : Track sales metrics to ensure targets are achieved, and prepare regular presentations and dashboards for the CEO and internal stakeholders.
  • Travel : Represent the company at domestic and international conferences, exhibitions, and customer visits, requiring occasional travel.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical intermediates (Note : Experience as a Medical Representative is not relevant or applicable for this role).
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven track record in international sales and business development within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical intermediates and API markets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with professional fluency in English.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • MBA.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
