About the Position
This position will be responsible for handling Sanger sequencing for the clinical samples, including, but not limited to, primer design, data analysis, troubleshooting, and final report generation. The role demands attention to detail, proficiency in molecular biology techniques, and familiarity with bioinformatics tools used for primer design, sequence interpretation and quality assurance.
Job Requirements and Required Skills :
Taking overall responsibility for processing the clinical samples of the Sanger module.
Responsible for consolidation of Sanger validation requests.
Responsible for Primer design, ordering and tracking.
Data entry in the Sanger Tracker from the Laboratory Information Management system (LIMS)
Responsible for standardizing Polymerase chain reactions (PCR) and performing assay with clinical samples after standardizing the experiment.
Responsible for day to day maintenance of Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) machines.
Responsible for running the samples on Capillary Electrophoresis CE machine.
Data analysis of processed samples for Sanger and preparing results for interpretation which includes mutation specific testing, and single gene analysis.
Should be able to manage end- to -end from query resolution-design the primer-wetlab-sequencing-analysis-reporting.
Experince in : Mutation Specific Testing, Sanger Sequencing, MLPA, QFPCR etc.
