Industrial Product Designer

Company Description CWD Limited (CWD) is an Information and Communication Technology company specializing in designing, developing, and selling integrated solutions that combine software and electronics. CWD focuses on products utilizing wireless technologies for both short and long-range communications. The company primarily operates in the segments of consumer electronics and the design and development of technology solutions for businesses. Recognized under the Government of India's StartUp Program, CWD has filed several patents and is acknowledged for its innovative product development.

Responsibilities :

Conceptualize and design new products, considering aesthetics, usability, functionality, and manufacturability.

Translate design concepts into 2D drawings and 3D models using software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360 etc Conduct user research, ergonomics studies, and trend analysis to inform design decisions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing throughout the product development cycle.

Create prototypes and mock-ups using 3D printing, CNC, foam modelling, or other prototyping methods.

Prepare and present design proposals, storyboards, and visual presentations to stakeholders.

Specify materials, production methods, and finishing techniques suitable for mass manufacturing.

Ensure product designs meet safety, regulatory, and environmental standards. Iterate designs based on feedback from user testing and stakeholder reviews.

Required Skills and Knowledge :

This candidate must have a strong ability to take client ideas and create an attractive product based on their needs.

This candidate should feel comfortable creating prototypes and communicating with internal teams in order to deliver wholesome solutions.

The candidate should also have an ability to follow budget constraints and demonstrate some pieces of previous works through a portfolio.

Strong creative, design and communication skills

Good Knowledge in Microsoft Office.
