Job Description
Position : Assistant Manager – Stores

Reports To : Plant Head
Role Summary
Responsible for managing inventory, warehouse operations, and subcontracting (JW) activities. Ensures timely receipt, storage, issue, and dispatch of materials, accurate stock records, compliance with safety standards, and smooth coordination with vendors and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal inventory levels, stock accuracy, and ERP records
- Oversee goods receipt, dispatch, and documentation (FIFO / LIFO compliance)
- Conduct stock audits, rack audits, and ensure warehouse efficiency
- Supervise stores team and ensure adherence to safety & compliance
- Coordinate with procurement, production, quality, and finance
- Manage JW activities – scheduling, rework, supplier onboarding, reconciliation, and payments
- Ensure timely scrap disposal and adherence to company scrap policy
