Apparel Design Lead

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fashion designer to lead the design and product development of JCBI garment manufacturing unit contemporary handcrafted collections. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Indian craft traditions and a refined design sensibility that aligns with Nila’s ethos of minimalism, sustainability, and craft revival. This role will be instrumental in conceptualizing seasonal collections, managing design workflows, leading visual merchandising, and supporting brand-aligned storytelling through photoshoots and product curation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Development & Collection Design

• Lead the end-to-end design and development in close coordination with UK design director
• Finalize tech packs, sampling, and material approvals to ensure timely handover of collections to the production team
• Create concept-driven collections aligned with brand philosophy and seasonal strategies
• Ensure internal design approvals are achieved on schedule
