3. JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES :
CSEP is seeking a Finance Officer to support budgeting, accounts management, and compliance processes. Reporting to the Director (Admin, Recruitment & Events) and Associate Director - Development, the role involves maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with project-wise budget tracking, preparing periodic reports, and supporting internal and external audit requirements. The ideal candidate will be organized, proficient in accounting software, and able to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth and compliant financial operations.
Key Responsibilities :
(1) Support project-wise budget preparation, allocation, and periodic budget revisions.
(2) Maintain day-to-day accounts, vouchers, documentation, and transaction records in line with organizational policies.
(3) Assist in expenditure tracking and ensure spending is aligned with approved budgets and grant conditions.
(4) Prepare monthly / quarterly statements, MIS reports, and summaries for internal review.
(5) Coordinate with internal teams to ensure invoices, vendor payments, and reimbursements are processed accurately and on time.
(6) Assist in compliance related tasks, including Income Tax, FCRA, CSR, GST, and other statutory requirements.
(7) Support audit processes (internal, statutory, and project audits) by compiling documents.
(8) Maintain proper record-keeping both physical and digital for ease of review, reporting, and audits.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES :
Qualification :
(1) Bachelors in Accounts / Commerce or related field.
(2) Masters in relevant field shall be preferred
Experience :
(1) Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting preferably in the development sector.
(2) Working knowledge of Income Tax, FCRA, GST, and related statutory requirements.
Skills and Competencies :
(1) Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems and Advanced Excel.
(2) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
(3) Strong communication and presentation skills.
(4) Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED :
CTC budgeted for the role is Rs. 50,000 / to Rs. 70,000 / - per month. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
