API Tester - POSTMAN

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for API testing (REST / SOAP).
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of APIs.
• Work with developers to validate API specifications and identify edge cases and failure points.
• Automate API tests using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, Karate, or similar frameworks.
• Validate API responses, status codes, error messages, and payload structures.
• Design and execute automated test scripts using scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Participate in Agile / Scrum ceremonies and contribute to test planning and sprint execution.
• Use tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar for defect tracking and test case management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug issues and ensure high-quality releases.
• Perform API load and performance testing using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or Locust (preferred).
