Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the design and development of drones across agriculture, surveillance, logistics and FPV domains
  • Customize and maintain firmware using ArduPilot and Betaflight firmware systems
  • Develop automation logic and mission behaviour using custom Lua scripting
  • Integrate and test embedded systems, sensors, payloads and radio communication modules
  • Design and prototype drone hardware, including frames, mounts and enclosures
  • Ensure reliability and performance through rigorous field testing and system validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, software developers and field operators
  • Manage project timelines, resources and technical deliverables to ensure milestones are met
  • Document technical processes and maintain detailed records of system designs and configurations
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging drone technologies to drive innovation

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 3–6 years of experience in drone development with a strong R&D background
  • Proven expertise with ArduPilot and Betaflight firmware operation
  • Proficient in Lua scripting for mission programming and onboard automation
  • Strong understanding of agricultural and surveillance drone applications
  • Hands-on experience with Tuning PID parameters for stability, responsiveness, and precision
  • Expertise with FPV systems including tuning and live video streaming
  • Solid knowledge of radio communication systems (e.g., RC, telemetry, long-range links)
  • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers and low-level programming (C / C++, Python)
  • Competency in drone hardware and mechanical design (CAD skills preferred)
  • Effective project management and leadership skills with the ability to guide technical teams

    • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electronics, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is required
  • Candidate with experience in drone industry or similar is most preferable.
  • 3 – 6 years of experience in Drone development and R&D
  • Field testing experience and deployment in real-world environments
  • Exposure to AI, computer vision or data mapping technologies
